After a poor away performance to the Sheffield Sharks in the last game in division 3, Elite were looking to bounce back against a weaker side, Manchester kings who were 0-3. However, it was never going to be an easy game with 5 key players missing due to a variety of factors, Elite were undermanned and also undersized with 4 of the biggest squad members being unavailable to play. The team was made up of almost entire College aged players alongside two senior players, Captain Elliot Kerley and Player Coach Tom Morey. 

Elite started strong with an 11 point lead to end the 1st. Some unusual foul trouble for both Kerley & Morey after some interesting calls by the referee’s put Sheffield in an ever tougher situation. Despite this, Kaiden Barthlomew, David Wells & Charlie Stoddart maintained the scoring output and 6'4 U18 Luke Baldwin stepped up and sacrificed himself to shut down Manchester's 6'10 big with some tough defense and rebounding. 

Sheffield finished the game out strong and came away with a 87-74 victory despite all the availability struggles and foul trouble during the game.

David Wells, Elliot Kerley & Kaiden Bartholomew all finished with 15 Points each.
